Morocco airport transfers, with your driver waiting in arrivals

Your driver is in the arrivals hall when you walk out, with your name on a sign. We follow your flight, so a delay costs nothing extra, and the price is fixed per car before you fly. Damask is based in Casablanca, a short drive from Mohammed V, Morocco's busiest airport, and we drive from there to Rabat, Marrakech, Fès, Tangier, Essaouira and Chefchaouen.

The airports

Casablanca Mohammed V (CMN)

Our home airport, about 30 km south of Casablanca. A transfer to central Casablanca costs €35 per car. From the airport we also drive straight to Rabat (about 110 km), Marrakech (230 km) and Fès (315 km). Casablanca airport transfers.

The other airports

On request. Tell us your flight and where you are going, and we confirm on WhatsApp whether we can meet you there, and at what price. Our tours that start in Marrakech, Fès or Tangier begin at these airports.

Which airport for which trip? For a tour that starts with the imperial cities and the north, fly into Casablanca, Rabat, Fès or Tangier. For the High Atlas, the south and the desert first, Marrakech. Errachidia is the airport closest to the Merzouga dunes, about 120 km away; it is small, so check the flights.

Airport by airport

  • Marrakech Menara (RAK) is 7 km from Jemaa el-Fna, 15 to 20 minutes by car. Our tours from Marrakech start here.
  • Fès-Saïss (FEZ) is 17 km from the medina. Our 10 days from Fès start and end here.
  • Tangier Ibn Battouta (TNG) is 13 km from the centre of Tangier, and the start of our 9 days from Tangier.
  • Rabat-Salé (RBA) is 11 km from central Rabat, a good arrival point for the imperial cities.
  • Agadir Al Massira (AGA) is 35 km from central Agadir; Marrakech is about 250 km away by the motorway.
  • Essaouira Mogador (ESU) is 19 km from the medina, for travellers who start on the coast.
  • Ouarzazate (OZZ) is 4 km from the town, at the gate of the Draa Valley and the road of the kasbahs.
  • Errachidia Moulay Ali Cherif (ERH) is about 120 km from the dunes of Merzouga, the closest airport to the Sahara.

Medina riads. In Marrakech, Fès and Essaouira, cars stop at the gates of the old town. Your driver takes you to the nearest point, and many riads send someone to meet you there and carry the bags to the door.

What every airport transfer includes

  • Your driver in the arrivals hall, with your name on a sign.
  • Your flight tracked from take-off: if you land late, the driver waits and nothing is added.
  • Help with the luggage, from the arrivals hall to the car and from the car to your door.
  • An air-conditioned car, with water on board.
  • Child seats on request.
  • One fixed price per car, the same in both directions, agreed before you fly.

How it works

  1. Send us your flight details on WhatsApp: airport, flight number, date and time, where you are going, the number of passengers and large bags. Or use the booking page.
  2. We confirm the car and the price, usually within the hour. Nothing is booked until we confirm.
  3. On the day, we follow your flight. Your driver waits in arrivals with your name on a sign.
  4. To your door: hotel, riad, home, or the next city.

Why book an airport transfer in advance?

After a long flight, the last thing you want is to haggle at a taxi rank or work out a train timetable with your bags. A transfer booked in advance gives you:

  • a price you know before you fly, with no meter and no bargaining;
  • a driver who waits for you, even if the flight is late or the passport queue is long;
  • a car that fits your group and your luggage, from a sedan for three to a van for seven;
  • one contact for the whole trip, who can also drive you back to the airport or on to the next city.

How to choose an airport transfer in Morocco

Whoever you book with, check these before you pay:

  1. A fixed price for the car, in writing, with nothing added for a delayed flight.
  2. Flight tracking. The company should follow your flight number, not just the scheduled time.
  3. Meet and greet inside the terminal, with your name on a sign, rather than a phone call from the car park.
  4. The right car for your bags. Three large suitcases fill a sedan; a family needs a minivan.
  5. A number that answers, before you fly and when you land.
  6. Recent reviews from travellers who used the same airport.

Beyond 7 passengers or 12 large bags, you need two cars, and we quote both.

Late night and early morning flights

Many flights land late at night or leave at dawn. Give us your flight time when you book, and we confirm the pickup and the price on WhatsApp before you travel. For a dawn departure, we set the pickup so you reach the terminal with time for the security check at the entrance and for check-in: for an international flight, we suggest arriving three hours before departure.

Arriving in Morocco: good to know

  • Passports. Citizens of many countries, including the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada, enter Morocco without a visa for a short stay. Check the rules for your passport.
  • Money. The dirham is a closed currency, so you get it on arrival: the main airports have exchange counters and cash machines in the arrivals area.
  • Phone. Moroccan SIM cards are sold at the main airports, handy if you want a local number for the trip.
  • Meeting your driver. Your driver waits at the exit of the arrivals hall with your name on a sign. If you cannot find each other, call or message +212 600 548 316.

Flying in and out of different airports

Morocco suits an open-jaw trip: fly into one city and home from another, and you never drive back the same way. Many travellers land in Casablanca and leave from Marrakech, or the reverse. Our eight days from Casablanca end at Marrakech airport, and a single transfer can take you from your last hotel to whichever airport you fly home from. Tell us both flights when you book, and we plan the first and the last drive together.

From the airport, straight to your tour

If you are starting one of our tours, your first day begins in the arrivals hall: the same driver picks you up and stays with you to the last day. See our tours from Casablanca and all our private tours.

Frequently asked questions

How does a private airport transfer work in Morocco?

You book in advance with your flight number. The driver follows your flight, waits in the arrivals hall with your name on a sign, carries your bags to the car and drives you to your address for the price agreed beforehand.

What if my flight is delayed?

We follow it. Your driver waits, and nothing is added to the price.

Is the price per person or per car?

Per car, whatever the number of passengers, up to 3 in a sedan and 7 in a van.

Can you take us from the airport to another city?

Yes. From Mohammed V we drive straight to Rabat, Marrakech, Fès and the other big cities. We confirm the price on WhatsApp.

Which airports do you serve?

Casablanca Mohammed V, our home airport. Other airports on request: ask us with your flight details.

Can you meet us at Marrakech airport?

Ask us with your flight details. Our tours from Marrakech start at Menara airport, and we confirm on WhatsApp whether we can meet a single transfer there, and at what price.

How early should we leave for the airport?

For an international flight, plan to reach the terminal three hours before departure: there is a security check at the entrance, before check-in. We set the pickup time from your flight time and the drive.

Do you have child seats?

Yes, on request. Tell us the age of each child.
