Private driver in Casablanca, from the airport to the last drive

Damask is a private driver service based in Casablanca, in Sidi Maârouf. You book one car and one driver who speaks English or French, for a drive from the airport, a day in the city, a day trip or the start of a longer journey. The price is per car, not per person, and we agree on it on WhatsApp before you travel.

Prices for a private driver in Casablanca

Every price is for the whole car, whatever the number of passengers, and it is fixed before you travel. There is no meter, and no extra charge for traffic, for a late flight or for driving at night.

A car and driver for the day

What travellers hire a driver in Casablanca for

The airport, at any hour. Mohammed V is about 30 km south of the city. Your driver follows your flight, waits in the arrivals hall with your name on a sign and carries your bags to the car. A late landing costs nothing extra, and a 2 a.m. arrival costs the same as a noon one.

A first day in the city. Casablanca is big and its sights are far apart: the Hassan II Mosque on the ocean, the Habous quarter to the south, the art deco centre, the Corniche to the west. With a car, you see them in one relaxed day. Our Casablanca day tours page has a plan for the day, the mosque's visiting times and where to eat.

A day ashore from a cruise ship. Cruise ships dock in the port of Casablanca, next to the old medina. We meet you at the port, or in front of the Hyatt Regency, where the ship's shuttle bus drops you, and plan the day around your all-aboard time. See the Casablanca cruise port and shore excursions.

Straight on to another city. Many travellers land in Casablanca and head on to Marrakech, Fès or Rabat the same day. The airport is near the Marrakech motorway, so you can go directly, without crossing the city.

A day of meetings. On a work trip, a driver who waits outside each meeting is simpler than a taxi between every address. Tell us the addresses and times, and your driver plans the order and the timing.

A trip of several days. The same car and the same driver from Casablanca to the Sahara and back, on one of our tours from Casablanca or on your own route.

Getting around Casablanca without a driver

You do not always need us, so here are the other ways to get around, with what each one costs.

From the airport.

  • Airport taxi: about 250 to 350 dirhams to the city by day, more after 20:00. The fare is agreed at the rank before you leave.
  • Aérobus: a flat 50 dirhams from the airport to Casa‑Port, through the city centre, every 25 to 40 minutes from 07:00 to 21:00. You can pay in cash or by card.
  • Al Bidaoui train: about once an hour to Casa‑Voyageurs and Casa‑Port, from early morning until about 23:00, for 60 dirhams in second class and 80 in first.

For one person with light luggage arriving in the daytime, the train or the bus is the cheapest way in. A driver makes more sense when you land at night, travel as a family or a group, carry a lot of luggage, or go straight on to another city.

In the city.

  • Petit taxis: they run on the meter and are everywhere. They are cheap for short hops.
  • The tram: it has four lines, and line T2 runs to Aïn Diab, at the end of the Corniche.
  • Uber: it came back to Morocco in November 2025, in Casablanca and Marrakech, with licensed transport companies only. Other ride-hailing apps work in the city too.

All of these are fine for one trip from A to B. They are less handy for a day of sightseeing, because the Hassan II Mosque, the Habous and the Corniche are far apart, and you would wait and negotiate between each stop.

Between cities. The train is the best value between Casablanca, Rabat, Fès, Tangier and Marrakech if you travel light. Since 2018 the Al Boraq high-speed line has run from Casablanca to Tangier in 2 h 10. There is no train to Chefchaouen or Essaouira, and the stations are rarely next to your riad. A driver takes you door to door, stops where you want and costs the same for one passenger or seven.

Three examples, with the price

Arriving late, then Marrakech. You land at Mohammed V at 23:30 and sleep in Casablanca. Your driver meets you in arrivals and drives you to your hotel in the Superb, for €35. Two days later, after a day in the city on your own, the same car takes you to Marrakech for €140.

A cruise day for a family of five. Your ship docks at 8:00 and leaves at 18:00. The Tourneo picks you up at the port with two child seats, free of charge. You start with the guided visit of the Hassan II Mosque, followed by the Corniche, lunch, the Habous and pastries for the ship. You are back at the port by 16:30. The whole day costs €150 for the car.

Rabat and back. Two of you want the capital without the train. You leave Casablanca at 9:00 and spend the day at the Hassan Tower, the Kasbah of the Udayas and the Chellah, with lunch by the ocean. You are back for dinner. A day with the Superb costs €120, tolls and fuel included. The same day as two separate drives, there and back, would cost €140, without a driver waiting for you in between.

Where your driver picks you up

  • Mohammed V airport. In the arrivals hall, with your name on a sign. Send us your flight number, and we follow the flight.
  • The port. At the port gate, or in front of the Hyatt Regency, where the cruise shuttle stops. Send us the ship's name and its times.
  • The train stations. At Casa‑Voyageurs or Casa‑Port, outside the main exit. Send us the train's arrival time.
  • Your hotel or apartment. At the entrance, at the time you choose. In the old medina, where cars cannot go, your driver meets you at the nearest gate.

Day trips from Casablanca with your driver

A car and driver for the day also takes you out of the city:

  • Rabat: 90 km, about 1 h 15 each way. It is the capital, and a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2012.
  • El Jadida: 100 km, about 1 h 15 each way. It is the old Portuguese city of Mazagan, on the UNESCO list since 2004, and Azemmour is on the way.
  • Marrakech and back in a day: it can be done, but the day is long, with about 2 h 45 of driving each way. Ask us for the price. If you can, stay the night and take the one-way drive to Marrakech instead.

Plans for each of these are on the Casablanca day tours page.

How to book your driver

  1. Send your plans on WhatsApp or through the booking page. Include:

- the date and pickup time; - the pickup place; - where you want to go; - the number of passengers and large bags; - your flight number or the ship's name, if we meet you there.

  1. We reply with the car and a fixed price, usually within the hour. Nothing is booked until we confirm, and there is nothing to pay on the site.
  2. Pay the way that suits you: in cash or by bank transfer.
  3. Cancel for free up to 6 hours before a transfer, and up to 48 hours before a tour.

How to choose a private driver in Casablanca

Whoever you book, a few questions save trouble:

  • Is the price for the car or per person? It should be for the car, fixed in writing before the day.
  • What does it include? Ask about tolls, fuel, waiting time, night pickups and late flights. With us, all of these are included.
  • Which car comes? Ask to see the actual car, and check it fits your luggage as well as your passengers.
  • Will the driver speak your language for the whole day?
  • Who answers if something changes? On the day of a flight, you want a reply in minutes, not the next morning.
  • Are the reviews real? Look for recent reviews on Google or TripAdvisor, written by travellers in several languages.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a private driver in Casablanca cost?

With Damask, a car and driver for the day costs from €120 for a sedan to €180 for a van. A single drive from Mohammed V airport to central Casablanca costs from €35, and Casablanca to Rabat from €70. Prices are per car, with tolls and fuel included.

Is the price per person or per car?

Per car. You pay one price for the car and its driver, whatever the number of passengers, and it is fixed before you travel.

How do I hire a driver in Casablanca?

Send us your date, pickup place, plans and group size on WhatsApp, or use the booking page. We reply with the car and a fixed price, usually within the hour.

Can I use Uber in Casablanca?

Yes. Uber came back to Morocco in November 2025, in Casablanca and Marrakech, with licensed transport companies only. It works well for short rides in the city. For the airport, a cruise day or a drive to another city, a driver booked in advance is simpler: the price is fixed and the driver is waiting for you.

Do the drivers speak English?

Yes. Every transfer and every day with a driver comes with an English- or French-speaking driver.

Can the driver meet us at the cruise port?

Yes. We meet you at the port or in front of the Hyatt Regency, where the ship's shuttle stops, and we plan the day around your ship's times.

Is a night pickup more expensive?

No. The price is the same by day and at night, and a late flight costs nothing extra because we follow it.

Can I hire a driver for a few hours only?

Yes. Tell us what you need on WhatsApp, and we reply with a fixed price for those hours.

How much should I tip my driver?

It is your choice, and it is never included in our prices. Travel guides to Morocco usually suggest about 100 to 200 dirhams a day for a private driver, roughly €9 to €18, given at the end of the trip.

Can the same driver take us on to Marrakech or the Sahara?

Yes. Book the drive to Marrakech, or keep the same car and driver for several days on one of our tours from Casablanca or on your own route.

Do you have child seats?

Yes, and they are free. Ask for them when you book, with the age of each child.
